"If catholics went to Medjugorye and just got on with prayer and ignored the visions they would have the spiritual experience of their lives"

Herein the crux of the matter- what is "prayer"? Our separated brethren surely pray fervently. Where are the sacraments upon which our faith is founded? Are personal "spiritual" experiences to supercede the inspiration of the Holy Spirit as evidenced in the doctrine of the Church?

"malum ex quovis defectu"- I rather prefer "from whatever/ any kind of evil": it doesn't take much for Satan to get his claws in, to mix metaphors slightly

May God indeed bless you and the holy work which you do in his name. The Evil One fears those who love the truth.

Of course we're bored now of hearing what a nasty man Bin Laden is, so the next best target is the Holy Father. How much fun can we have with him!!! Totalitarian, fundamentalist, religious freak, out-of-touch, recruits innocent followers from among ardent youth, androcentric (no place for wimmin), authoritarian, militant, no room for negotiation, uses weapons of (liberal liturgically enhanced) Mass destruction, will die for his beliefs ....

Hang on a minute- who are we talking about here...?
This makes my blood boil and in a very un- Christian way (unless you are a loving and caring lesbian pro-choice liberal "Jesus was a nice kind of guy person" who loves us all and "includes" everyone except those who procliam the truth) I would dearly like to wring all their necks.
The Holy Father deserves our most ardent prayers.

ad multos annos!
